The latest version of the Openbench Logic Sniffer software is available from the download page.
Download the latest version of the OLS software. Once the download is complete unzip the file to a directory of your choosing.
Before plugging the OLS into your computer for the first time you will want to install the drivers.
The Openbench Logic Sniffer is powered by your computers USB port. All that is required is use a mini USB cable to connect the mini-B connector to the OLS and the standard-A side to an open USB slot on your computer.
The PWR LED should light up to indicate that there is power to the board.
Double click the executable in the top directory of the OLS directory that was previously downloaded and unzipped.
Perform an empty capture to verify that the client works.
You are now ready to start using your OpenBench Logic Sniffer.
The very first thing you should do now is to upgrade your OpenBench Logic Sniffer to the latest firmware.
If you have an IDE ribbon cable handy you can try out the self test mode.
